Lizzy got dressed all by herself the other day! What a big girl! She sure has a great sense of fashion.
Here is half of our group on our first field trip in ABC school. We went to the local Fish Hatchery to watch the fish jump and come up the stream. I never realized just how ugly some of those Salmon really are! And they are big too! We got splashed a few times as the fish were jumping about in the fish ladders.
Here the kids are feeding the growing trout. These are, um, incubator type pools to hold the fish until they get big enough to release in the wild. Those fish went crazy when they threw in fish food.
Here is a viewing window at the fish ladders. You can see the size of these guys and just how ugly they are. The top part is open so that is how we got splashed a few times as we were looking at them through the windows. It was fun learning about how the salmon are preserved this way. It is actually a huge city celebration every year but we've never made it yet as it has fallen on General Conf. weekend last year and this year. Maybe next year we'll go the the parade!
